Thomas Vigild

Thomas Vigild Head of Vallekilde Game Academy - a Danish Folk High School focused on game design.
Independent game critic, speaker, teacher, designer and game consultant. Clients include The Danish Ministry for Culture, Danish Broadcasting Corporation (DR), national libraries, private companies and municipalities. He frequently writes in national Danish newspapers like Politiken and Weekendavisen.
Chairman of the jury for the Danish board game award Guldbrikken (www.guldbrikken.dk), where the best new boardgames are highlighted every Autumn. Thomas generally uses a lot of boardgames and playdesign in his teachings, because through games and play we can safely explore other sides of ourself and others.
Thomas is also chief coordinator and concept developer of Danish game related events like SpilBar - a bi-monthly meetup for the Danish Game Industry - and also arranged creative jams "BookJam" & "StoryJam" last year. Here Danish authors, graphic designers and game developers created new forms of digital interactive literature.
Thomas holds a Master in Musicology, Computer Science and Digital Games from The University of Copenhagen / IT-University of Copenhagen.
