Franziska Matthes works at the Bauhaus Research School of the Bauhaus-Universität Weimar as well as an Academic Advisor for KIDS Regio. She has written her doctoral thesis on children’s films in Europe with a special focus on TV distribution and audience preferences. In collaboration with KIDS Regio, she has developed an academic network of European children’s film scholars and has organized the 1st European Conference on Children’s Film Research 2014.
